Fear Of The Deep Blue carries with it a lifetime of experience on, and passion for, the ocean. Lutjanus has spent over 3 decades exploring the ocean and its mysteries and is dedicated to both marine conservation and environmental awareness to this day. Fear Of The Deep Blue has 2 main philosophical purposes. The first is to increase fan awareness of marine conservation and issues concerning the health of the ocean through educating the metal community through lyrics and concepts. The second is to share fantasies of oceanic perils, through rolling out stories of Thalassophobia (fear of being in the ocean). Concepts include giant squid, shipwrecks, shark attacks, drowning etc.

Fear Of The Deep Blue came about in September 2008, after a move from Sydney Australia to Perth Australia. It was time to condense all the outer influences and ideals of marine conservation, thalassophobia, extreme metal, ambient music and sound degradation into one solid Project. Stay tuned for updates
