This song has been written, recorded and released in order to raise awareness of the current shark cull policy in Western Australia. This shark cull is a response to 7 fatal shark attacks in the last three years. The governments response is to indiscriminately kill sharks off the coast. The way they are doing this is through baited drum lines, which don’t just kill sharks, they kill everything. The great white shark is responsible for the deaths, however the drum lines have only caught smaller tigers sharks – over 100. The drum lines have been scientifically proven to not work. This policy then represents murder of many animals that have nothing to do with the policy’s intent. The result, 0% effective, 100% bi-catch.

This song has been written to raise awareness to encourage people to become active and join the protest so that we may get the Barnett government to retract this horrible policy and replace it with other more effective methods. A percentage of profits will be donated to shark research and conservation. The song is available for purchase on this website and on iTunes.
